Six days to go (Martyn has them marked off on the calendar – should we take this personally?).  The bags are half packed and coming in at well under the ten percent of body weight we are aiming at, so far.  We’ve remembered the sun cream and blister plasters and have decided which toiletries we don’t mind sharing.  There is still hot debate over whether we should buy proper waterproof liners for the rucksacks.  Rosie: “It won’t rain that much in Spain in June”.  Mum: “But if it does, I want some dry clothes to change into”….
